Wet-compression injects de-ionised water into the suction pipe of the compressor in front of the gas turbine so that a fine mist occurs. This increases the maximum capacity of the gas turbine. The increase in capacity became possible by increasing the mass current and the subsequent cooling of the compressor.
Wet-compression consists of a pump skid and nozzles in the interior of the suction tube of the compressor.
